Programmable Logic Controller/s refers to the system which controls the industrial processes through the use of computers.

This system is a few steps ahead of mechanization because mechanization needs manual operators for machinery to progress the efficiency of the work. But in the Programmable Logic Controller/s control system it is the system itself that facilitate the work and the whole process of an industry or organization. It reduces or eliminates (to some extent) the need of manual help. The prerequisite of human mind and intellect is less emphasized in the Programmable Logic Controller/s control system. With the great improvement in the information technology and computer network the system of Programmable Logic Controller/s control has got a shot in the arm. There is a greater significance on the Programmable Logic Controller/s control in every field of work, be it industry, support system, electricity generation among other systems.

In today’s economy the system of Programmable Logic Controller/s plays very central role. The Programmable Logic Controller/s engineers create a system combining organization tools with Programmable Logic Controller/s devices. This system makes possible a number human activities and applications. But Programmable Logic Controller/s control has not become widespread. There are still many jobs that are outside the domain of Programmable Logic Controller/s system. Such jobs still need manual expertise. The computers play the main role in Programmable Logic Controller/s control. There are various level of computes based on their efficiency. To facilitate Programmable Logic Controller/s control the computers are so designed to enable the synchronization between inputs and out puts. It results in a controlled mechanism for any industrial process. Such improved forms of computers are known as programmable logic controllers.
